Online Counselor, Marriage and Family TherapistLife changes happen and we learn to stay in the "flow". We are beings becoming, evolving into our own path. Every life lesson is a step in our personal development and growth, with problem redefinition and resolution. You have the power to change how you feel and think. This can lead to positive changes in your life and in your relationships. With this empowerment, you will experience balance. Because people function in different ways, I believe that together we share resources to identify and accomplish your goals.

I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and moved to southwest Colorado May, 2005, after graduating from Tarleton State University with my Masters in Education. I have spent the last 10 years working with families. In doing so, I have also hosted 2 foreign exchange students from Ukraine and Kazakhstan. My journey began with helping birthmothers. The journey continued in working with kids of all ages in underprivileged, disadvantaged neighborhoods and with the disabled population. Most recently, I have been working as a child and adolescent therapist, as well as doing crisis work. I enjoy my work and take pride in touching lives of others. My wish is for all to experience the balance of body, mind, and spirit.

With an eclectic approach to counseling, many methods are used to bring you this balance. Within the therapeutic relationship, I strive for mutual respect. I am not the expert in your situation for only you can define your life experience and I will help support your evolution centering on you as the person. My approach includes behavioral and emotional balance, being strength-based and solution-focused. Most of my work has been with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, along with a variety of other mental health issues. Thus, it is my job to provide support and alternative skills while holding a vision of what you want.

My credentials include being a Licensed Professional Counselor (#4854) along with being a National Certified Counselor (#242597). I am an avid scuba diver, as well as enjoying to hike and bike our Colorado backyard. Yoga and reading are centering activities in my life too. My son, Aidan, is a joy to me every day. I love spending time with him and my life partner, Steven. Life is full of blessings and each day is a gift. Learning to breathe through the challenges and to appreciate the rewards is my balance!
