| Janna Nelson, LMT, BS has an extensive background in education and clinical massage therapy. Her massage therapy studies were conducted in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she completed 1400 hours in Therapeutic Massage and Sports Massage at Rainstar University. Prior to that, she attended Weber State University majoring in Lifestyle Management while focusing studies on exercise science and health education. Janna's post-graduate education in massage and bodywork includes learning the theory and practice of John Barnes' approach to Myofascial Release and completion of OMERI's Orthopedic Massage Certification.
Janna has worked primarily in a physical rehabilitation setting, along with both orthopedic and chiropractic physicians and physical therapists. In addition to complementary work in rehabilitation, her therapeutic massage experience includes a history of supporting amateur and professional athletes throughout training and competition.
Janna's method of treatment is a whole body approach that assists in the treatment of structural distortion, chronic tension and myofascial restriction while providing stress reduction and pain reduction. Her goal is to provide support for your return to and maintenance of a pain-free functional lifestyle. She brings 10 years of hands-on bodywork experience to her private practice as well as her own lifetime's worth of experience with dance training and competitive volleyball, soccer, and track and field events.
