Hi, I am Nancy Preuit, an online counselor. I would like you to know that marriages can survive. Indeed, marriages can survive happily. Online marriage counseling provides you the opportunity to overcome the lack of good communication, the frustration of constant arguments, the emotional pain of infidelity, the grief of the loss of a family member or just everyday apathy. The stress and hurry-up of our daily lives can sometimes play havoc on our marriages. Having the ability to communicate with a professional using online counseling allows you the benefits of the counseling and takes advantage of the privacy and convenience of being in your own home. Together we can explore where you are in your life or relationship, look at where you choose to be and find alternatives to get there. The client and counselor working together as a team can accomplish much in a very positive way. So if you are struggling emotionally, feel there should be more to life or simply want to make things better for yourself, schedule an appointment for your online counseling session now.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor LPC #432 Therapist License Verification and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I also have certification as a Distance Credentialed Counselor and a Mediator. I have practiced in the field of mental healthcare for twenty-three years. My experience and interests are particularly in the areas of marriage, relationships, families, parenting, teens and adolescents. I also have extensive experience with depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, bi-polar disorders, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and adoption. As a certified mediator, I specialize in divorce resolution, blended family and custody/visitation concerns.
I am married. My husband and I have one adult daughter. We live in a small community in northeast Wyoming. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming in elementary education. I taught for seven years and was a "stay-at-home" mom during my daughter's younger years. Later, I obtained a master's degree from Regis University in Denver Colorado in Liberal Studies: psychology. Since that time I have been in a private mental health counseling practice.
In addition to counseling, I have facilitated a variety of seminars on parenting and relieving stress in the work place. I have also been a guest on radio shows with topics ranging from adoption to parenting teenagers. In my practice I also provide critical incident debriefing, conflict resolution and management training to several local corporations.
I have made the choice to provide online counseling services to you because I believe different methods of counseling work for different people. Online counseling provides some positive advantages that face-to-face counseling does not. It not only offers the client the convenience of scheduling but also allows one to participate from the privacy of one's own home. A person may live in an isolated area where counselors are a distance away. Perhaps, a client does not want it to be public that they are seeking counseling. There is no waiting in reception areas or chancing a meeting with an acquaintance. Some of us communicate best through the written word. Additionally, online counseling provides affordable prices. With these considerations in mind, choose to schedule your appointment now for marriage counseling or individual counseling.
