I'm Dr. Shirley and I'd like to introduce myself to all of you who are interested in and excited about the new world of the internet therapist.
First, I'll give you the formal introduction:
Dr. Gruen maintains her practice in clinical psychology in Southwest Houston, Fort Bend County and Brazoria County. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University and interned at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Houston. Her certifications include: Licensed psychologist [Texas) 30635 Psychologist License Verification, National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, Specialty Certification - Health Service Provider [Texas], Certified Chemical Dependency Specialist, and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP-Texas). In addition, she is certified by the American College of Forensic Examiners and the Professional Academy of Custody Evaluators to provide consultation and evaluation in court and custody related matters.
Dr. Gruen has earned a Post-Doctoral Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology and is a Board Certified, Diplomate-Master Fellow in Psychopharmacology.
Dr. Gruen is a member of the Houston, Texas and American Psychological Associations, the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and the American Group Psychotherapy Association. She is a past president of the Fort Bend Mental Health Association. In her practice. she treats children, adolescents and adults individually and in groups. Her practice also includes diagnostic screening and psychological assessment, pain and habit control, and biofeedback therapy.
Dr. Gruen consults with community schools and law enforcement agencies. She is a frequent guest on radio and TV programs and a speaker for community groups. Dr. Gruen's newly opened web site, www.talkingdoc.com, is a popular stop for web browsers and offers a unique avenue for information on psychological issues and current trends in psychology and innovative web consultation opportunities.
Now, let me put that information into everyday language. Well, all that information simply means is that I like working with everyone - children, adolescents and adults.

the road around the problem.
