Product Description
There are internal boundaries for any person that entail setting limits, knowing themselves, and being a good parent to the self. There are external limits that are more about boundaries in relationships, and making sure that abuse does not occur. There is a sexual and physical aspect to external boundaries that are expandable to let people in and out, depending on what we want and feel is appropriate at any given time.
Unfair or abusive fighting are usually boundary violations. Abuse means "not useful," therefore in the broadest sense anything that is not useful in human communication may be deemed (ab-use). This self-help and educational DVD about personal boundaries addresses the problem and offers a solution on how to achieve healthy personal boundaries in your relationships.
The other self-help DVD's in the series include Dysfunctional Families, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Parenting, Co-dependence, Chemical Dependence, Communication and Assertiveness, and Love Addiction. Each describes in detail a major psychological and behavioral problem, and the signs and symptoms of each disorder are delineated and solutions to those problems addressed.
The Boundaries Educational DVD is also available in VHS. DVD and VHS PAL format are available by request only. Please allow 4-5 weeks for delivery of a PAL format video.
These DVD's can be utilized as educational material for professionals and individuals to learn about many mental health topics. All have been approved by NBCC as continuing education credit at the rate of one CEU per video.
