Certified Life Coach, Career Coach, Leadership Coach, Professor of Psychology

Hello! My name is Mary Coussons-Read, and I'm a Professor of Psychology and Health and Behavioral Science and a Certified Life Coach. I am an online life and career coach, specializing in life coaching, work/life balance, managing change and life transitions, career planning and change, leadership development, professional and personal communication, stress management, and mind/body health. In addition to being a professor and coach, I am a working mom with 2 small kids (so I especially understand the balancing act of parenting and working), and a research scientist who studies the effects of stress on the immune system and health. A special focus of my coaching is stress management and effective communication, and I bring a combination of experience and scholarly background to my coaching that helps me work with clients like you to craft creative and positive strategies for increasing professional and corporate effectiveness, making career and life changes, and improving professional performance and work/life balance in the most challenging situations.

I offer online and telephone coaching, as well a growing list of e-Courses that provide specific, problem-based information and exercises on common challenges that you can purchase and work through at your own pace. Currently, I offer a course in Effective Communication, and will be adding others in the near future, so stay tuned! I'm also proud to offer a free eZine, Making it All Work: Your Career, Your Family, and Your Health, that provides articles,tips, and strategies you can use now to make the most of your time at work and at home, to make sure you have time for “you” and your spouse or partner.

Coaching is the most rewarding thing I do, next to being a Mom, of course. I've been both lucky and challenged in my own career and personal life, and as a coach, I get to translate my training and experience into a resource for my clients. At the core my work a commitment to providing a safe, professional, and supportive environment for people who are working in demanding careers to develop strategies for succeeding as professionals while honoring their personal needs, their families, families and their own well-being. I am incredibly fortunate to have the chance to work with such creative, bright, caring people to help get them where they want to go professionally and personally.
