Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling

Lynn Martin, MA - Mental Health and Rehabilitation CounselingLasting and true change is possible and helping people attain healthier more rewarding lives is the reason I am in practice. Interventions are tailored to fit your needs and personality.

My style as a therapist is caring, reflective, and supportive.

  • I help create a safe place where together we can explore sensitive issues.
  • My goal is to work with you in a way that draws on your personal strengths and abilities.
  • The focus of therapy is on empowerment and improving your life.

My Approaches are:

  • Mindfulness uses the relaxation response to reduce stress. Mindfulness incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help with sleep and eating difficulties.
  • The effect of Sleep and Food on Mood along with Exercise and Health for a holistic perspective.
  • Insight/Depth to get at the reasons you feel or behave the way you do, uncovering motivations that are often outside of your awareness.

Would you like to use three way video conferencing, so you your partner or other family member can see and hear each other during sessions? Are you interested in incorporating journaling, poetry, painting or other creative pursuits into your therapy experience? Use a secure e-Journal or chalk board, show me your paintings or photos. I enjoy working with expatriates and people in the military and will do my best to accommodate time zone differences. I am a Certified Gerontological Counselor and provide Caregiver Support.
